The charts show the proportion of holidaymakers in one region staying in different types of accommodation in three different years. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant
The pie charts analyze the ratio of holidaymakers from an area that used diverse types of residence in 1988, 1998, and 2008.
According to the illustration, within the first decade, just over half of holidaymakers stayed with family and friends. While the share of camping out was nearly half that with time, both these numbers dropped. In 2008, 44% stayed with family and friends, and only 12% favored camp on holidays.
By contrast, the proportion of holidaymakers renting apartments during holidays and boarding at hotels increased with time. In 1988, the minimal percentage was noticed in rented apartments, while the share of staying at hotels accounted for 15% of the holidaymakers. In 2008, the quantity stood at 22% each for both hired apartments and hotels.
Overall, the hotel became the first sort of accommodation for the bulk of the travelers within the given period of years despite most of the people’s preference to remain with a lover or relative.
